Got a brand name, product description, or campaign theme that shows up in prompt after prompt? Flow Context lets you save it once as a variable and drop it in wherever you need it. Change the value, and every run picks up the update. No more hunting through nodes to edit the same text again and again.
What makes it useful?
Write once, use everywhere → save a value as a variable and reuse it across as many prompts as you like
Update in one place → change the value and every prompt that uses it follows on the next run
Quick to insert → type {{ or $ in a prompt and pick a variable from the list
Built for repeatable flows → keep your flow's structure fixed and just swap the values (brand, product, tone, audience) between runs
How to use it
Click Flow Context in the bottom toolbar of your flow.
Click Manage to open the Manage page. It opens in a new tab.
Add a new variable: give it a name and its content (the value).
Save it.
In any prompt, type {{ (or $) and pick your variable from the list. You can also copy
{{name}}straight from the Flow Context popover and paste it in.Run your flow. Fluidfit swaps each
{{name}}for its saved value.
Naming your variable
Start with a letter or an underscore, then use letters, numbers, or underscores
Up to 50 characters, with no spaces or dashes (for example,
brand_nameorProduct_2)Names aren't case-sensitive, so
Brandandbrandcount as the same variable and you can't have both
Managing your variables
Flow Context popover is the quick view. Search your variables, switch between the All and Text tabs, edit a value right in the list, or copy a variable's {{name}}.
Manage page is where you add, edit, rename, and delete variables, with search and paging for longer lists.
Variables are text variables, so they hold any text you want to reuse.
See your variables in your prompts
Prompt fields, and the LLM chat all understand variables:
Names that match a variable are highlighted. Hover over one to see its value.
Names that don't match anything get a red wavy underline. That usually means a typo, or a variable that's been deleted.
What happens when you run
Every time you run, Fluidfit replaces each {{name}} with the value saved at that moment. That includes running a single node, running the whole flow, and the Run Flow API. Letter case doesn't matter, so {{Brand}} works for a variable called brand.
Example
Save two variables:
product→ a handcrafted ceramic mugstyle→ soft morning light, minimal white background
Then write your prompt once:
Product photo of {{product}}, {{style}}.
To make the same shot for a different product, change the value of product and run again.
Using Flow Context with the API
Flow Context works with the Fluidfit API too, so you can drive your flows from your own apps and automations:
Pass values with a run: send your variable values along with a Run Flow request, and they're used for that run.
Saved to the flow: values you send are saved to the flow's Flow Context, so they show up in the Flow Context popover and carry into later runs.
Update without running: use the set Flow Context API to change values without running the flow.
For request formats and examples, see the Fluidfit Developer Documentation.
Who can use it
Owners and Editors can add, edit, and delete variables. Viewers don't see the Flow Context button.
A few things to keep in mind
Check the red underline before you run. If a variable has been deleted or has no value, the prompt goes out with
{{name}}as plain text, and credits are still used.Variables live with the flow. Anyone the flow is shared with can see and use its values, and they're copied when you use Copy Flow or a template, so keep anything private out of them.
In short
Flow Context is where you save the text you keep reusing. Write it once, drop it into any prompt, and update it in a single place whenever it changes.
