Got a PDF with great artwork or copy locked inside it?
Extractor takes it apart for you. Connect a PDF, run the tool, and its text, images, and vector graphics show up on your canvas, ready to use in your flow.
What makes it useful?
Everything in one run → text, images, and vector graphics come out together, so there's no copying and saving piece by piece
Ready to use right away → extracted items land on your canvas as nodes you can connect to the rest of your flow
Only what you need → choose whether to extract text, images, vectors, or any mix of the three
Only the pages you need → extract from specific pages, or leave it blank to cover the whole PDF
How to use it
Open the Tools section in the sidebar and find Extractor under Layers.
Add it to your canvas and connect your PDF to it.
Open the Extractor's options to choose what to extract and from which pages (more on this below).
Click Extract. The credits it will use are shown right on the button.
Your extracted items appear on the canvas, connected to the Extractor.
Choose what to extract
In the Extractor's options, you'll find three checkboxes under Extract:
Text: the words in your PDF
Images: the pictures in your PDF
Vectors: the vector graphics, like logos and shapes
All three are turned on to begin with. Untick anything you don't need.
Choose which pages
Use the Pages box to pick the pages you want. Type page numbers or ranges, separated by commas, like 1-3, 5. Page numbers start at 1, so page 1 is the first page.
Leave it blank and Extractor goes through every page.
What you get
Once the run finishes, the Extractor tells you how many assets it pulled out, and everything is added to your canvas and connected to the Extractor. Text comes out as Text Nodes, and images and vectors come out as Media Nodes. From there, you can use them like any other node in your flow: edit the text, send an image into another tool, or reuse a vector in a new design.
A few things to keep in mind
Extractor works with PDF files, so connect a PDF before you run it.
If you only need part of a PDF, set the Pages box before you run so you don't extract more than you need.
In short
Extractor turns a PDF into pieces you can actually work with: text, images, and vectors, right on your canvas. Pick what you want, pick the pages, and run it.
